The Teaching Service Commission (TSC) has announced a vacancy for the Principal of Ngwane Teachers’ College in Nhlangano

Ngwane Teachers’ College is a Government owned Teacher Training College situated in the Shiselweni Region, that provides training to prospective Primary Teachers Diploma and Early Childhood Care Education Diploma graduates.

The Ministry of Education & Training invites applications from qualified candidates for appointment to the position of Principal at Ngwane Teachers’ College.

Qualifications & Key Skills

The applicant must be in possession of any of the under listed qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or Educational Leadership/Management or Education Policy,
Must have been in an administrative position as a College Vice Principal or Head of Department or Head of School for at least 5 years,
Be conversant with current global trends on programme innovations,
Proficient in MS Office package
Be a researcher

Added advantage

A PhD in Education or Management or Leadership
Experience in Leadership and Management
Involved in curriculum development

Duties

Responsible for all professional and administrative matters of the College.
Management and supervision of all College staff.
Responsible for interpreting Education policies affecting the College and make recommendations to the Ministry of Education and Training.
Attend all relevant meetings and advise the Ministry accordingly
Recommend to the TSC and CS though Cheif Inspector of Tertiary Institutions the addition, deployment, dismissal or promotion of College personnel.
Prepare and administeer an annual budget for the COllege
Identify emerging trends and conduct needs analyses that offer opportunities for the new programming and service with the view to ensure demand driven production of graduates
Ensure the development of new and relevant programmes by the institution
oversees the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all learning activities at Ngwane Teachers’ College as well as student inclusion in all aspects
Collaborate with departments and external partners, and
Ensure the College and activities therein comply with the University of Eswatini requirements (as an affiliated institution)

Emoluments

The successful candidate will be paid at Grade F1

About Us

Ngwane Teachers’ College (NTC) is situated in the Shiselweni region. The college is about 3km south of Nhlangano town. The college was established in 1982 as a government institution under the ministry of Education
