Ngwane Teachers College is the first choice of countless prospective students seeking quality education and hoping to further their studies for both PTD and ECCE programmes. As a result, the college receives numerous applications each academic year from prospective students and because of limited space e are not able to admit a large number.

Our Programmes
Ngwane Teacher's College offers two teacher training programmes; Primary Teachers’ Diploma and Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education.
The Primary Teachers’ Diploma is a three year programme that prepares trainees to teach all subjects taught at primary school level, i.e. Grade 1 to 7. Hence, trainees are taught subject content for all subjects taught at primary school level. During their second and third year of their study, they are given six weeks of supervised teaching practice in primary schools around the country.
The goal of the Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education is to prepare students to work with children from zero through age 8. Students learn about curriculum, guidance and standards for working with young children. This program helps prepare students for a rewarding career nurturing the growth and development of young children. During their second and third year of their study, they are given six weeks of supervised teaching practice in early childhood care schools around the country.

By training to teach at primary level, you will have an extraordinary impact during some of the most crucial years of a child’s development. Primary school and ECCE educators can set children up to succeed from the start, making sure that they all have access to a brilliant education. Ngwane Teacher’s College offers experienced academic staff in the various subject areas who are committed to equipping teacher trainees with the skills they need to effectively teach learners in the schools, under diverse social and academic challenges of the dynamic society. We also inculcate in our students the spirit of professional development.
Entry Requirements
Application for Admission into the College open in January each year and close in the first week of March.
Candidates must have six (6) passes in a school leaving certificates, including English.
Of the six passes; a minimum of three (3) must be credit in subjects that are taught at primary school level. These are: Mathematics, SiSwati, English Language, French, History, Geography, Physical Science, Chemistry, Combined Sciences, Integrated Science, Biology, Human and Social Biology, Fashion and Fabrics, Food and Nutrition, English literature, and Information Technology.
Subjects which are not considered as Primary School teaching subjects are: Accounts, Commerce, Woodwork, Metalwork, Technical Drawing, Business Studies, Economics, and Design Technology.
Financial Information
At Ngwane Teacher's College, The Eswatini Government sponsors - in the form of a study loan - about 90% of the students. Those that are self sponsored pay tuition fees that stand as follows:

Ngwane Teachers’ College (NTC) is situated in the Shiselweni region. The college is about 3km south of Nhlangano town. The college was established in 1982 as a government institution under the ministry of Education
